A very warm welcome from Newport Rugby Club to new and returning faces in 2020/21. New players and members are vital to the future of our club and if you are thinking about giving rugby a try, you will be very welcome to come and join one of our training sessions.
At Under-8 level, the game of tag rugby is played, before moving into contact rugby at Under-9. The game of tag rugby is all about the children having fun whilst at the same time learning the fundamentals of the game and the necessary skills required. Tag rugby is a non-contact sport. During a normal season, we have a variety of training sessions and match days. Training sessions are currently held at the rugby club on Sunday mornings from 9-10.30am. Match days can be at home or away against other local clubs, and we very much hope to resume these fixtures in 2021. Whether we are training or playing matches, we aim for an all inclusive policy so if you are there, you will be playing!
