Welcome to the 2010-11 season for Newport mini & junior rugby at what is the Number 1 Rugby Club in Shropshire. Last season we had one of the largest mini & junior sections in the county with teams at ages from Under 7 to Under 17.

At senior level, the club first team consolidated their position in National 3 Midlands, again fielding some former Newport mini & junior players. We will continue the Newport tradition of developing young players from the touch rugby played at the younger mini ages through to full rugby played by the teenagers.

Parents are welcome and encouraged to be at the training sessions and at matches both on the touch-line and in the clubhouse afterwards. You can also help the Junior and Mini section by joining the Club as a Vice President. We do rely on your help for catering and support for our social events. The club is going through an exciting phase of development. There are plans to extend the clubhouse with better kitchen & changing room facilities being one of the priorities. These plans are one reason why we have had to increase the subscriptions this season.

Players…….. Please help us spread the word what an enjoyable sport rugby is and encourage your friends to come along and join in.
