A mix of experience and youth, the second XV is essential for the success of the first XV. They train and compete for selection and every trainer hopes that he has added to the quandary of selectors for the following Saturday! This is important because every member of the squad may be asked to step up to fill slots created by unavailability at the highest level.

With National 3 Midlands a league of 14 clubs, and the North Midlands Reserve League 1 a league of 10 clubs, an awful lot of Rugby is to be played and requires an awful lot of competitive committed players. On top of league commitments, there is also the Shropshire Merit table to be competed.

The XV had a very successful season in 2011 winning the North Midlands Reserve League, a fantastic and well deserved achievement to all the lads. 2012 sees a rather different structure to the league we are playing in, we start in Pool 1 (North) the winners of pool 1 will go on to play winners of Pool 2, Pool 3 and Pool 4.
